Zone by zone

Hospital wall selection starts by dividing the hospital into zones. Wards need quiet, cleanable walls. Corridors need walls that tolerate trolley traffic and frequent contact. Treatment areas need surfaces that tolerate frequent cleaning and equipment movement. One wall specified for all three zones will be wrong for at least one of them.

For each zone, confirm the panel construction, joint and surface. Runner-edged handmade panels suit zones that change or need service access. Jointed machine-made panels suit long, stable corridor and ward runs. The hospital application page carries the same zone approach in more detail.

Confirming the selection

Send the zone list with the wall runs, mark service penetrations and door positions, and confirm colour and finish zone by zone. Steel colours are customised against an international colour card, with regular colours including white-grey, snow white, stainless matte and brushed finishes, light blue, light green, ivory white, sea blue and pink. Please confirm minimum order quantity and lead time before ordering.
