The two routes

Handmade panels use a runner-edged construction: panels are framed with runners, finished with corner pieces and joined through runner or middle-aluminium connections. They support pre-installed conduits and pre-cut openings, they can be taken down and refitted, and they carry loads well at the edge. The company profile states that handmade panels cost more than machine-made panels, as a qualitative comparison.

Machine-made panels are produced as a continuous jointed system: face, core and adhesive are combined by continuous roller pressing, and panels are installed through a tongue-and-groove joint. The company profile describes installation as fast, and its marketing wording describes installation speed as about twice that of a traditional panel with about half the labour. That speed wording is marketing wording from the company profile, attributed as such here, not a measured result for any project.

Choosing by room

Choose handmade where rooms change, where services must be pre-installed, or where panels must be removed for service access — typically laboratories, and hospital zones that are reconfigured. Choose machine-made where wall runs are long, layouts are stable and installation speed matters most — typically large, repeatable production and circulation walls.

Many projects use both routes: handmade for changeable or service-heavy zones, machine-made for long stable runs. That mixed approach is normal, and the enquiry should state the route zone by zone rather than choosing one route for the whole project.

Confirming the choice

Send the room list with the route marked for each zone, confirm the joint and surface for each zone, and confirm which panels carry pre-installed conduits or pre-cut openings. Please confirm minimum order quantity and lead time before ordering. This page publishes no material specification figures for either route; if a material figure matters, ask for it to be confirmed for the exact panel ordered.

Compare the wall options for your rooms, then send the shortlist for confirmation — panel, joint, surface and colour, room by room.
