Why modular
A modular wall system treats the wall as a set of repeatable units: panels, runners and joints that fit together in a planned sequence. That approach suits projects where rooms repeat — wards, production suites and laboratory rooms — and where a future change of layout should not mean discarding the wall.
Modularity is a planning discipline as much as a product feature. The module grid, the joint positions and the service penetrations are fixed in the plan before panels are ordered, so panels arrive ready to fit the rooms they were planned for. Changes after ordering are more expensive than changes on paper, so the room list and wall layout should be settled first.
Modular planning checklist
Selection starts from the room, not from a single panel. List the rooms first — ward, production area or laboratory — then match each room to a wall construction, a joint type and a surface finish, and confirm the shortlist before ordering.
Confirm the room grid and the panel module that fits it. Confirm where services pass through the wall and which modules carry pre-installed conduits or pre-cut openings. Confirm the joint type at module boundaries and at corners, and confirm the surface colour for each room type. Then send the layout for confirmation before ordering.
This page covers the modular system as a whole. Individual modular panel constructions are covered on the modular wall panels page, and the modular wall page covers the finished wall. Material figures are not republished on system pages; if a material figure matters, ask for it to be confirmed for the exact panel ordered.
Send your wall layout and room list — confirm panel type, joint and colour for each ward, production or laboratory zone before you order.
