Design from the room list
Drug production cleanrooms are designed room by room. Production rooms, preparation areas and circulation zones have different cleaning routines, traffic and service needs, and the wall system should reflect those differences rather than repeating one wall throughout the building. This guide works through that room-by-room design approach for wall systems.
Start with the room list and the wall runs for each room. Mark service penetrations, door positions and any future layout change. Then choose the panel construction, joint and surface for each room, and send the shortlist for confirmation. A design that skips the room list usually produces a quotation for panels, not a plan for walls.
Walls in the design
Walls carry three design decisions: construction, joint and surface. Construction decides how services and later changes are handled. Joint decides tightness and cleanability. Surface decides colour and finish. In drug production spaces, joint tightness and surface cleanability weigh heavily, because those rooms are cleaned frequently and inspected closely.
This guide makes no compliance claim. It discusses design choices only, and it does not claim that any panel or wall complies with any named framework or standard. If a project specification requires a particular document, raise it at enquiry stage for the exact panel ordered. Please confirm minimum order quantity and lead time before ordering.
Send your wall layout and room list — confirm panel type, joint and colour for each ward, production or laboratory zone before you order.
