The finished modular wall
A modular wall is finished when its modules, joints, corners and surfaces are all in place and the room can be cleaned and used. This page covers that finished result, while the modular panels page covers the units and the modular systems page covers the planning framework. The supporting phrase modular cleanroom walls is used here as part of the same topic and does not have a separate page.
Finished modular walls are valued for two reasons: repeatability and change. Repeatability means the same module, joint and surface appear consistently across repeated rooms. Change means a room can be reconfigured by moving modules rather than rebuilding the wall. Both depend on the plan being fixed before ordering, not discovered during installation.
Checking a modular wall plan
Selection starts from the room, not from a single panel. List the rooms first — ward, production area or laboratory — then match each room to a wall construction, a joint type and a surface finish, and confirm the shortlist before ordering.
Check the module grid against the room dimensions, check service penetrations against the modules that carry them, and check corners and junctions against the node index. Then confirm surface colour room by room and send the plan for confirmation. A plan that passes those checks usually installs without the rework that comes from ordering panels before the grid is settled.
Maintenance is part of the finished wall, not an afterthought. Modular walls should be easy to clean at the joint as well as on the face, and individual modules should be removable for service access where the room requires it. Raise service access in the enquiry if your rooms need it.
Send your wall layout and room list — confirm panel type, joint and colour for each ward, production or laboratory zone before you order.
